This civilization centers around various cities such as Mohenjo-daro, Harappa, Dholavira, and Kalibangan and various small cities too. The many Vedas, which were associated with Hinduism were composed during the 2000-500 BC. This is the land where many religion like Buddhism and Jainism are born and highly practices. Many kings and rulers have come and gone, set up their empire here rule this country for such a long time. Many empire dynasties were formed here like Mughals, Gupta’s, Mauryan’s and many more had rule this country. We got their reference in the various books and their remains which were kept secure by the individuals in the library and the museums. India is the home to the one of the largest day-residential schol of the world which is “Takshila” but it faced one of the huge tragedy of time. By the medieval era many religion like Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity, and Islam arrived and is practiced on the large scale and Sikhism also emerged making this the region’s diverse culture. The northern region of India ahd faced many rulers but the southern is mostly remain silent till the modern time and is ruled mostly by the Indian kings like Dholavira, Cholas and many more. This country had also faced many movement in the early age like there was a faced when the teaching of Gautam Buddha and Mahavira were practiced on a large scale and later it become religion named as Buddhism and Jainism respectively. The Great ruler of India King Ashoka has actively taken part in Buddhism and helped in spreading it not nly in the country but also in the outside the boundaries in the outer world too. Ashoka is one of the greatest ruler of Indian Origin under its reign not only the Mauryan Empire but also the whole country has reached to its height. He was a cruel king once but after the war of Kalinga their was a change in his heart and he devoted his life towards Buddhism and made many huge monuments and pillars around the country to spread tis religion. Even India’s motto “Satyameva Jayata ” is taken from its one of the pillar which is associated with the picture of three faced lion.

Medieval Period

During the medieval period teh caste system in India began to show regional differences. As by that time the new non-traditional ruling classes began to clear the land of the poor section of the society in name of encouraging the Indian agricultural economy. As no ruler was able to create an empire and consistently control lands much beyond his core region. The medieval era is the time when many great and wonderful monuments were made in the shapes of temple which shows the perfect blend of Architecture and Astronomy. the first devotional was created in this age on tamil language and later it was translated in the various other language and it begins with the development of all the modern language which we spoke in today’s world. This is the time when India goes through the urbanization and many ruler began to build the great beutiful monument in their all the capital region and people from all over the world come to visit this place and see the monuments which create a great positive impact on the Indian Economy. This is the time when people also came to know about the diversity of this country and the hidden treasure of knowledge which is present here and teh teaching of this country began to spread all over the world in the various field like Ayurveda, Yoga, Astronomy, Economics, Maths, Fighting Skills, Medical and many more. Till the early modern age India was a hot place for many Muslim rulers who frequently invade this country with their large armies, modern weapons and sometime with a quite affectionate heart to rule this land but every time they failed to conquer this land that was the time in 1206 when the Muslim oppression established Delhi Sultanate but still they were not able to make a single in the south Asia. In the 13th century, this  sultanate saved India many time from invading Mongols from the West and Central Asia and allow the migration of many soldiers, learned men, mystics, and artisans from that region into the subcontinent, thereby creating a Indo-Islamic culture in the north.

Modern India

The period after the 1500 begin the modern period with the invasion of Mughals in the country and this is the time where India reach to its great heights in every fields. Till this time every ruler who ruled this country wants to expand their religion and teaching but Mughals did not support this they want to fuse the Islamic culture with the Indian culture and many great examples are there one of them is Taj Mahal which shows the perfect blend of Indian and Islamic teachings. The relative peace kept up by the domain amid a significant part of the seventeenth century was a factor in India’s financial expansion, bringing about more prominent support of painting, abstract structures, materials, and design. The Mughals nearly rule 200 years and after them many European country shown there interest in this country because of its diversity, richness in agriculture, suitable environment for various commercial agriculture purpose and wealth of the country. Among the many European companies only the East India company was successful to occupy nearly the whole country. At first teh Britisher visited India for trading purpose but later when they saw the condition and the life of the people they decided to settle here and later they rule this country for next 200 years. This was the time where Indian were in a very bad positinn and were treated as a slave. During the british raj India has seen many ups and down like the partition of the country on both the sides East and West. After the partition teh eastern part came to known as Pakistan and the western part came to known as bangadesh but all these partition were happened in two different time. The East India Company’s control over the oceans, more prominent assets, and further developed military and innovation drove it to progressively utilize its military muscle and made it end up appealing to a segment of the Indian first class; these elements were essential in enabling the organization to pick up control over the Bengal locale by 1765 and sideline the other European organizations. Till the time teh locals understand anything India has become a colony of the British Empire and they had started exploiting the country in all the possible ways. It was in the year 1857 when the first conflict for the freedom was ignited in Meerut by Mangal Pandey and from then many people begin to join this revolution to make their country free and this revolution was named as Indian Rebellion of 1857. Many great names emerged from this revolution like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Wallab Bhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmi Bai and the list is very long but these are among the few which had made an great impact in this revolution. The formation of India first political party formed “India National Congress”. India is also the part of World Wars but it had taken part as a colony of British Empire who sends soldiers to the various countries of Allied Forces. In both the wars million of soldiers given their life. After the world war so many fights for teh freedom were fought and it was in the year 1947 after the final days of Non-Cooperation movement and Muslim Uprising the Britishers under the last viceroy of India LORD MOUNTBATTEN had signed on the declaration of the Independence. India is finally freed in 1947 but it came with one of the tragic incident in the history of mankind which is the partition of the country in two parts. This partition result in the deaths of million of people and now India is a free country but they need to fight from the evils such as poverty, Hunger, Illiteracy and needs to be developed for the welfare of the people.

India After Independence

After Partition India is a free state but now he has to fight from the various perils of the society and first thing need to do is making some LAWS and make India a republican country. On the day 26th Jan 1950 India become a republic country when the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar made the constitution of India and now India is a secular and a democratic country. In the year 1952 India conducted its first presidential and Prime Minister election and Jawahar Lal Nehru Was elected as Prime Minister of the country and Dr. Rajendra Prasad was elected as president of the country under their guidance India began its journey to be a great nation.

Indo Pakistan War

Since the day of Independence and partition India is constantly war with Pakistan for which the main reason is Kashmir. Pakistan wants Kashmir to be a part of it own country because most of the population was Muslims and because of abundance of tourism in this region. India ahs fought 4 wars with Pakistan in the year 1947, 1965, 1971 and 1999. All these war were won by the Indian Army and it is because of the bravery of Indian soldiers and the that we are still breathing in the free year otherwise India will be again under the rule of some other nation.

After the election when Jawahar Lal Nehru was elected as Prime minister the first thing he do is to pass extensive reforms that increased the legal rights of women in Hindu society, and further legislated against caste discrimination and untouchability. He made it compulsory that every child has a right to get primary education and for this many schools and Universities were built across the country and this was the time when the first engineering college was built which is Indian Institute Of Technology but under the name of Imperial College Of Engineering. The first five year plans were made at this time which covers the terms such as no taxation for Indian farmers, minimum wage and benefits for the full time workers, and the nationalisation of heavy industries. Village common lands were seized, and an extensive public works and industrialisation campaign resulted in the construction of major dams, irrigation canals, roads, thermal and hydroelectric power stations and many more.

The major advantage of India is that it is a agricultural country so keeping this fact in mind the country had encouraged agriculture through the green revolution. At the time of 1970 the population of India reached nearly 500 million and there was a question for the people how to satisfy the need and hunger of the people and this was resolved by the “Green revolution” a revolution where increasing the productivity of crop was keep in mind. The government started this program and under this modern agricultural implements, new varieties of generic seeds, and increased financial assistance to farmers was increased to grow high quality of food crops such as wheat, rice and corn, and mainly the focus is kept on the commercial crops like cotton, tea, tobacco and coffee. The Indo-Gangetic Plain is a very fertile plain and cover mostly areas of central and northern India so all the state which fall in this region were taken under Operation Flood, the government encouraged the production of milk, which increased greatly, and improved rearing of livestock across India and for the productivity of Milk a movement named White Revolution was started. And this is how India has overcome the hunger and is sufficient in the field of agriculture and the reign of importing food has ended and now India easily started exporting the food.

By the time 1990 India become one of the fastest growing economy and the developing country of the world. Various economic reforms were formed at this time under the guidance of Late P.M. Narsimha Rao as a result of which the economy expanded rapidly. Many cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmadabad become a state which receives so important who have economic importance, becoming centres of rising industries and destinations for foreign investment and firms. It was in this decade India successfully tested its first nuclear weapon which was earlier tested in 1974 but it was not successful now at this time India is a nuclear state. The new technologies were increased at the higher rate so that the quality and the productivity of the product can be increased, which also resulted in the availability of skilled labor. Foreign investment and outsourcing of jobs to India’s labor markets further enhanced India’s economic growth.

By the 2000 India is capable of securing itself from the outer world but the main problem is with the internal matter the conflicts with the naxalist and the maoist has increased so much so we need to solve this matter too. It was in the year 2008 when the bunch of terrorist had entered Mumbai and created the chaos and this was a major terrorist attack after the 9/11 but a great thanks to our soldiers of paramilitary forces we successfully defeated them. The decade of 2000 was a remarkable year for this country many achievement were made in this time and faced many tragedies. The phase started with guidance of Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was a leader of the country and the head of the Bhartiya Janta Party. His time ended in 2004 and the Congress party again come on the power nut at that time India was struck with one of the major calamity of the time “Tsunami” caused by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean which devastated the Indian Coastline and the areas connected to it. After 10 years of Congress party India again come under the hand of Bhartiyta Janta Party this time they won’t need any coalition and Narendra Modi become elected prime minister of the country and under his guidance India has successfully gained so much achievement in the field of Agriculture, Technology, Astronomy, Medical and most importantly his revolution of Make in India which was issued to encouraging the Indian product and dependency on it  and to stop using the use of foreign product.

Thus we can see that the India is a country which has so much of diversification. And inspire of many religion are practices here we know how to live together.
