BSEB was established in the holding & conducting the examination at the end of every year for the studenst who were studying in the session. There are so many background jobs which are given in the same, where the exam is conducted.

It also works as the controlling authority for the same & imposes all the acts & regulations of the board.
Every year , the exam is conducted on the month of February and march. The supplement exam for the bihar board has to be conducted in the session. The course for all the standards are prescribed by the state government.

The subject Social Science has other subjects inside this i.e. economics, history, geography and disaster management. There will be 40 questions in the objective type questions. All the questions will be of one marks.
- The exam will be conducted on OMR sheet.
- The first part will have 40 questions that is of objective type nature.
- All these question will carry one marks.
- There will be 24 marks questions for the short answer type questions.
- 18 questions will be asked , each question will be of 2 marks each.
- There will be long answer type questions where 4 mandatory questions with 4 further sub questions each.
- The total score for the Social Science paper will be 100.
Mathematics / Elective High School Mathematics Syllabus 2018
The total marks in the Mathematics and Electives High Mathematics are 100 marks. There will be types of questions in this paper paper. The types of question are 50 objectives which will be conducted in the OMR. There will 30 short answer type questions which will be of 2 marks each. There will be 15 question of long answer type. These will be of 4 marks each.
- The maximum marks for mathematics is 100 marks.
- The paper will have three types of questions in the exam.
- Objective Type Question :- 50 marks worth question will be seen there. Each carrying one marks.
- Short Answer Type Question :- Total 30 questions , each of two marks.
- Long Answer Type :- Total 15 questions , each of 4 marks.

Bihar Board Unit wise Science Syllabus 2018
The science exam will be having the other sub topics inside that. These subjects will be Physics, Chemistry, biology. The subjects will be of 80 marks. The exam for BSEB science will be having 40 objective type questions , single correct answer & 24 short answer type question. 12 questions will be mandatory in the same.
- Physics :- Physics will have 13 objective type questions, 6 short answer type out of which 4 will be mandatory for 2 points each. There will be long answer type questions.
- Chemistry :- The subject will consist of 13 objective type questions, which will include 6 short answer type questions out of which 4 will be mandatory and it will be 2 points each. Apart from this, there will be a long answer type question.
- Biology: There will be total 14 questions on this subject. There will be 6 short type questions out of which 4 will mandatory to answer of 2 points each, followed by long answer type question.
