Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat has cleared the recruitment of 1700 personnel in the police. Besides, it has been approved to open the state’s first economic crime station in Dehradun and cyber police stations in Pantnagar and Haldwani. The CM approved it at a review meeting of the Home Department on Monday. In the meeting, the new multi-purpose police building near the DIG office was also approved. It will have several headquarters shifts including Traffic, Fire and SDRF which are currently in PHQ. It was decided in the meeting that station cleaners will get an honorarium of Rs 3000 instead of 1500.
Several other issues including law and order, police modernization were also discussed in the meeting. The CM also agreed to purchase 20 PCR vehicles for crime control. Rs 100 for the food of the detainees under consideration, to increase the police miscellaneous fund. ACS Radha Raturi, Home Secretary Nitesh Jha, DGP Anil Raturi. DG Law and Order Ashok Kumar, ADG V Vinay Kumar, IG Personnel Pushpak Jyoti, IG SDRF Sanjay Gunjyal were present in the meeting.
