NABARD assigns 735 Cr for projects in Bengal

NABARD has approved 735 crore in the 1st quarter of the current fiscal under the RIDF (Rural Infrastructure Development Fund ) for West Bengal. This includes six solar power, one medium irrigation, five minor irrigation and 12 flood protection projects. The irrigation project is going work for 11,554 hectares of land and water supply in the commercial areas.

India’s 1st khadi mall in Jharkhand

The first khadi mall hs been opened in Jharkhand which will provide a major boost in khadi and other handicraft industry. The Jharkhand Khadi board i providing employment to the people and training for the raw materials and machinery. The role of urban market is based on rural huts and tourists spots would also generate significant revenue.

TBN Radhakrishnan : New CJ of Hyderabad court

The present Chief justice of Chattisgarh i.e. Justice Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radhakrishnan will assume charge as Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court. The New chief justice will be honored on the post by next week by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan. The acting chief Justice of Hyderabad from 30, July 2016 will be Justice Ramesh Ranganathan.

GST Diwas marked in Uttar Pradesh

State govt has launched a scheme under the Commercial Tax department officials to contact the traders & resolve the issues under the GST Diwas in Uttar Pradesh. The ‘Vaanijya Kar, Aapke dwaar’ (commercial tax at your doorstep) will be implemented from July 1 to August 31. The main aim of this tax is to stop the exploitation of the traders, & making commodities available at fair price.

Stainless steel charkha unveiled at Sabarmati

BJP President Amit Shah has released a stainless steel Charkha at Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad. This charkha is 21 ft tall ,11 feet in height, and 6.5 feet in breadth, is made of chromium-nickel stainless steel and is installed on the Sabarmati Riverfront across the Sabarmati Ashram. It aims to make Khadi popular in youth of the country.

1st meeting of Cauvery Water Management Board

The first meeting of Kavery Water management is held in New Delhi to resole the issue among the southern states. The meeting of nine members is chaired by the Chairman of CWC (Central Water Commission) Chairman S Masood Hussain. The meeting was organised to discuss about the water storage in Cauvery basin reservoirs with the judgement of the Supreme Court in this regard.

RCEP trade bloc at Tokyo meet 2018

The 16 nation Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership , the Asian trade ministers which includes China, Japan and India but not the US, met in Tokyo on 1st July. The partner ship is included in 10 members of ASEAN as well as South Korea, Australia & New Zealand. The developement of RCEP will pressurize the US to consider the rejoin program to TPP as US china war trade continues.

ROK & DPRK reopen maritime communication

The maritime communication has been opened between North Korea and South Korea Sunday for the first time in 10 years with vessels from the 2 countries making contact. The North Korean Patrol responds when the South Korean Navy to contact with the international radio channel in the western sea. The Korean govt from bot sides to work for the confidence-building measures to boost cooperation.

India is home to 19,500 mother tongues

More than 19,500 languages or dialects are spoken in India as mother tongues , as stated by the reports of Registrar General and Census Commissioner.  More than 96.71% population in our country has schedules one of the 22 languages as their mother tongue. The significant increase in Bengali speaking people and decrease in Bhili language speaker.

Instant e-PAN based on Aadhaar launched

Govt of Indian has launched the PAN which has same name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and address as in the Aadhaar. The e-Pan facility is only for resident individuals and not for Hindu Undivided Family, firms, trusts and companies. Every person who has a PAN is eligible to obtain the Aadhar according to Section 139 AA (2) of the Income Tax Act.

Dalai Lama launches ‘Happiness Curriculum’

The Deputy CM of delhi Manish Sisodia and Dalai lama has launched the Happiness Curiculum in the Delhi Government schools on 2nd July. This process is aimed to work for the holistic education that covers around eight lakh students.The curriculum focus on the meditation, moral teachings, and mental exercises, with the aim of turning students into good human beings.

PSLV bags first Australian order

The indian PSLV Launcher has taken is first order froma Australian start up. The Fleet Space technologies in an IOT start up and aims to launch its 1st 10 kg nanosatellite Centauri I would fly to space on a PSLV. The company is planning a series of 10-kg nanosatellites about the size of a shoebox to enable low-cost connectivity for agriculture, logistics, mining sectors.

Australia wins Champions Trophy 2018

The Wolrd Champion Australia defeats 3-1 via shoot off both teams and were locked at 1-1 in regulation time to clinch the 2nd consecutive Champions Trophy hockey title. This is 37th and final edition of tournament with Australia wining 15th Champiion Trophy title. It is situated in Breda. India won the consecutive silver medal while the Netherlands won the bronze medal.

Interpol issues Red Notice against Nirav Modi

The Interpol has issued a Red Notice against Nirav Modi on the request of Enforcement Directorate and the CBI of India. This notice will restrict a fugitive movement in 190 member countries of Interpol but also empowers agencies to detain the person and get the extradition to the requesting country. Nirav Modi is involved in the ₹13,578-crore Punjab National Bank fraud.

Lee Chong Wei wins 12th Malaysia Open title

Malaysian Lee Chong Wei beat Japanese shuttler Kento Momota 21-17, 23-21 to grab the Malaysia Open title for a historic 12th time. In the women’s singles final, top seed Tai Tzu Ying from Taiwan saw off China’s He Bingjiao. Indian campaign had ended with the defeat of PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth in their semi-finals. Lee Chong Wei is currently world number 6.

PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline extended

CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes) has extended the deadline for the PAN-Aadhaar linking to March 31, 2019. Under Section 119 of the Income Tax Act extending the deadline , the policy making body has issued an order. This includes the backdrop of Supreme court extension of March 31, 2018 deadline for linking Aadhaar card.

MPs can ask only 5Q per day from next session

Now the number of questions that can be asked in the upcoming session is now decreased to 5. Later it was 10 questions. The speaker direct 10B as per Lok Sabha been amended now due to the number of notice for the question exceeding 230 per day. The speaker’s new direction would be effective from the next sessions of the House, i.e., from the 15th session of the 16th Lok Sabha.

Commander Abhilash Tomy of the Indian Navy will be participating in the prestigious Golden Globe Race that commences from Les Sables d’Olonne harbour in France on 1st July. The uniqueness of the race is that use of GPS, satellite communication, navigational aids, etc is forbidden. Cdr Tomy will be sailing in sailing vessel ‘Thuriya’ has been built by M/s Aquarius Shipyard Ltd at Goa.

Asian Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction

India is participating in the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 03rd  to 06th July 2018. The theme of the meet is ‘Preventing Disaster Risk: Protecting Sustainable Development’. The disaster risk reduction is a key instrument to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, as highlighted in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
