DIT University
The DIT University is spread over in 21 acres of land built in the foothills of the Mussoourie Diversion Road in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The college is well connected with the all means of transportation.
The college was built in the year 1998 as Dehradun Institute of Technology as a private institute under the orders by the Unison Education Foundation. The DIT got the status of Deemed University in 2013 affiliated by the UGC. The University has a wide staff and various faculties of different courses like engineering, Pharmacy, management.
About the course there are total 12 UG programs, 2 integrated Courses, 10 PG courses and 8 PhD programs in engineering, Pharmacy management, science and humanities.
Every year the campus provides 2000 seats for the students . Their are total 88 faculty members out of which half are the PhD holders. Right now their are nearly 6000 student studying and are guides by 307 faculty members.
The campus provides various facilitues to the students like scholarship and the educational loans to the required candidates but these all are provided through the exams which are conducted by the colleges. In addition to this the college also provides library facilities to the student with the reading room facilities and their are total 1 lakh books, 3500 CD’s and 5000 e-diaries and many more. The college have separates hostel for both boys and girls, medical office, hall, sports offices, ATM.
The DITU grounds provides indutrial visits, conferences, classes, workshop and different co-curricular and extracurricular exercises. The grounds composes the understudy clubs and boards of trustees headed by the student themselves.
