Documents Required

Application Form
The filling up of application is divided in three steps:

Steps To Fill The Application Form
- Visit the Official Website
- Search for the link of GATE 2019 Apply online.
- After clicking in the link click on New Registration
- After this you will see a application form where you need to fill all the personal details of the candidates like Applicant Name, Father’s Name, Address a valid phone number and an email ID etc.
- After Filling Up the Form Submit it and you will get registered. Keep this registration no. with yourself. It will be helpful later.
- After filling up the form you need to submit your scanned passport size photo and the copy of your signature
- All the scanned images need to be in jpg/jpeg format only.
- Size of the photograph should should not exceed more than 40 kb.
- The signature image should be between 1 kb and 30 kb.
- Dimension for the photograph: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (Height) only.
- The signature should be in between 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (Height) only
- After all this you need to submit the application fees and it can be submitted Online only.
- For the Online Mode all you need to have a debit card with sufficient amount of the fees and you will be notified about the extra charges.
GATE Examination Pattern
As you all know that the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an annual examm which is conducted by the IIT Madras from this year which is conducted for the student as the qualification exam for M.E./M.Tech/Ph.D admissions and PSU Recruitment. The exam will be given through Online mode only and the application will also be filled through online mode only. There are total 24 exam and the student need to select the category in which they need to fill the examination form. The exam will be of total 3 hours and it will contain set of 180 question each question carries 4 marks and there is negative marking in the exam to. So for every wrong answer 1/4 marks will be deducted.
Application Fee
The candidates those who are applying for the exam they need to pay the application fee and this fee can vary as the student of the different class or category. Check the points below for that:
- The candidates who are of General and OBC categories they need to submit the fees of Rs.1500
- The candidates of SC/ST Category and other backward classes and those who are PwD/ Female candidates they need to pay the sum of Rs 750 to the candidates.
- From this year there will be a charge on the late submission of the fees and it will be Rs. 500.
- The candidates belonging to the country Addis Ababa, Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu they need to pay the sum foo $50 and for the citizen of Dubai and Singapore need to submit $100.
- For the foreign citizen the fine on the late is $20.

GATE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
- Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/ Technology)
- Four year certification holders of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and the individuals who are in the last year of such projects.
- From this year onward the department had removed so there is no age limit on the exam.
- The candidates who are applying must have the Indian nationality. Other than this candidates belonging to other countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates will also be eligible for GATE 2019.
- There is no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree while applying for GATE 2019.
