Governor of Uttarakhand, Baby Rani Maurya honors the 31 teacher’s of the state by awarding them by the ‘Governors Teacher’s Award -2018’ of the state on the occasion of Teachers Day. According to the local news agency, in the program organized in Dehradun Raj Bhawan, the Governor expressed her views on encouraging the girl child education and encouraged them for science and technical education too. He called cleanliness important and said that there should also be a classroom hygiene in schools.

Education Minister Arvind Pandey congratulated the awarding teachers and said that the level of teachers in Uttarakhand is good and this year the examinations of the 10th and 12th board exams have also improved. On the initiative of the Governor, this year, everyone was welcomed with Angavastram instead of the bouquet.
