AFCAT Syllabus For Indian Air Force

As we all know that Indian Air force is a department of Indian Defense management whose main aim is to protect the country from the sky. Formed in the year 1935 under the Britishers this wing had played a vital role in the world war II after that this respected institution had many time protected the country in the aerial battle against other countries. To be a part of Indian Air force a person must clear the exam which are organised by the department such as AFCAT. It is the easiest way to enter in this field. Another exam is the exam for the Airman which are only for the Ground and Technical branch. Their main aim is to check all the operation from air to field properly.

Men can give this exam for the Permanent and Short Service Commission in flying and technical branch or Ground duty but women can join only Short Service Commission in all the Branches.

AFCAT is the exam which you can give after the exam means you must have a graduation degree for it.

Exam Pattern

The AFCAT exam is divided into two parts one is AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) which is for the general basic knowledge of the exam and the other part is the EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) this test is conducted for the candidates to know their technical knowledge. As the air force mostly deals with the technical terms so the students those who have science background are selected in this field.

The AFCAT exam is of 2 hours and is divided in four part namely General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning. The exam is combined of 200 marks. All the question are of multiple choice type and have negative marking in them. So the candidates need to pick the answer correctly and only attempt if they are sure about it.

Engineering Knowledge Test
