The amount coming to the District Mineral Trust is to be used in the interest of the people living in the mining affected areas. With this, arrangements should be made for building Anganwadi centers, improving drinking water lines, furniture in schools and telemedicine in remote areas. Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat said this during the review of the mining department on Thursday in the secretariat. The CM said that if needed, experts should be put in the structure of the department.

CM directed to send only concrete proposals for environmental clearances and pay special attention to revenue to Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital. CM said – pending cases of fine on illegal mining, transportation or storage should be resolved soon. In the cases of the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, all the officers should sit together and complete the formalities.
