The one-day Urban Transformation Summit was organized in Mussoorie under the Urban Transformation Summit to make Dehradun a smart city run by the state government. In which Chief Minister of State, Urban Development Minister, Tehri Lok Sabha MP, Mayor Dehradun and Mussoorie MLA attended as Chief Guest. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Ashish Shrivastava, CEO of Smart City Project, highlighted the smart city project to Dehradun. Shrivastava said that Dehradun was in the 99th ranking eight months ago in the ranking of Smart City which reached 32nd position today. Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik said that drainage is the biggest problem. On this, efforts are being made to solve this problem in collaboration with Dehradun Mussoorie Development Authority.
CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the summit has been organized to understand the basis of the concept of smart city and exchange of ideas between the government and the officials associated with the smart city project. CM Rawat praised the project CEO Ashish Shrivastava and allied officials for taking the Dehradun from the 99th ranking of Smart City to 32nd rank and progress of the sector. The Chief Minister said that if there is the power to implement a scheme, then that deadline reaches the dimension of success. Similarly, the work of Smart City Scheme to Dehradun is progressing rapidly. This smart city has a specialty that will be the first plan of gravity water level. At the same time, the CM also congratulated the officials for the success of polythene-free Uttarakhand. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 50 lakh for the polythene free scheme.
