- The general Assembly of UN has decided to make 26th June as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. It will also help to strengthen action and co-operate for the drug free international society Internationally.

ADNOC joins Saudi Aramco to build Ratnagiri Refinery
ADNOC & Saudi Aramco have signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to develop a integrated refinery and petro chemical complex at Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. Both holds 50% shares in the same. State owned refiners IOCL, HPCL & BPCL will have 50 per cent stake in the Ratnagiri Refinery. Aramco CEO, Amin H Nasser.
Government to set up regulator for skills training
Government has decided to set up an independent regulator for the skills training in the country. The skill development and entrepreneurship ministry has been shown unsuccessful to improve the quality of skills imparted by various bodies and institutions.
The skill development and entrepreneurship ministry will act as the administrative ministry for the regulator. The skill training in the country are governed by the various bodies and regulations such as the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA).
Suresh Prabhu chairs India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission
Minister for Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation of India, Suresh Prabhu co-chaired the fifteenth session of India Australia Joint Ministerial Commission with the Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Steven Ciobo, in Canberra.

A survey is condcuted by the Boston consulting Group and London Beats New York ,Berlin and Barcelona to take the top spot as the most desirable city in the world for overseas workers.Now UK has lost three places in country’s ranking i.e. Second to fourth in 2014.
China launches spy bird drone to boost Government surveillance
China has launched a bird shaped drone which has a camera, GPS antenna, and satellite communication capability, to monitor citizens living in different parts of the country. The programs in known as Dove and is started by Dr. Song Bifeng,who is a professor in Northwestern Polytechnical University.

Pallavi Durua crowned as first Tribal Queen in India
Pallavi Durua who lives in Odisha Koraput district is crowned as the first “Tribal Queen” at the Adi Rana kalinga Tribal Queen competition held at Utkal Mandap. The prime objective of the event was to promote tribal art and culture.

Tata to re enter fridge, washing machine business after 20yrs
The joint venture of Voltas and Arcelik Group is going in an agreement to the home appliances market for the 20 years. This joing venture will sell refrigerators, microwave ovens, washing machines and dishwashers under the Voltas Beko brand. The investment wil be started with Rs. 1,000 crore. The manufacturing facility in the country will be settled in the gujarat.

Oscar Academy invites 20 Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit
The 20 members of Bollywood has been invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Oscar Academy. This made it with 928 total members.
The bollywood actors who were called are Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Madhabi Mukherjee, Soumitra Chatterjee, Naseeruddin Shah, Ali Fazal, Anil Kapoor and Tabu are the Indian actors on the list, while Indian producers Aditya Chopra and Guneet Monga, Cinematographer Anil Mehta, costume designers Dolly Ahluwalia and Manish Malhotra, sound designers Debajit Changmai and Biswadeep Chatterjee, production designers Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray, music composers Usha Khanna and Sneha Khanwalkar and film editor Ballu Saluja are also in the list.
FICCI awarded at X International IT Forum, Russia:
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has been awarded for an event for the active participation at the forum, consecutively for the two years. The main objective of X International IT forum was to level the strengths of Indian IT industry and Russain innovative products.
More than 55 countries have taken part in this with over 15,00 participants in the forum. It was an international venue for the discussion of key in development and implementation of digital economy in the region.
Kalki Koechlin will be conferred with French honour
Kalki Koechlin who has been well known for the contribution in Indo French cinema has been conferred by the French Distinction of knight of the Order of Arts and letters(Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres).
The award was presented by the Ambassdor of France to India , Alexandre Ziegler who will be be amkinga two days trip in Mumbai in June 23 for the better bilateral co-operation in the sustainable urban mobility ,cultural, academic and corporate sectors between France and India.

51 Lakh Houses Sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Three Years
The 35th central sanctioning and Monitoring Commitee (CSMC) meeting of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has been conducted by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) on 25.06.2018 where a total of 3,18,900 houses from 6 States/UTs were approved.

Lewis Hamilton wins French Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton has regained his first position in the Formula One world championship.
Hamilton has now started the pole position and leads the vettel by 14 points after eight of 21 races. Now Briton has 145 and German has 131. The record has shared of 22 with the retired seven times world champion Michael Schumacher.
Iran bans import of 1,400 items to support domestic products
The Iran Ministry has banned the imports of various products i.e. upto 14,00 items. This decision was taken by the Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade to promote the domestic products in the country and also helps in managing the outflow of currency.
Monsoon Session of Parliament to be held from 18th July to 10th August
The government plans to pass the constitution’s 123rd amendment bill 2017 which does an accord to constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).
The other bills are the Triple Talaq bill and the Transgender Bill which were shown in the parliament for passing them. The session will be complete in 18 days by Parliamentary affairs minister – Ananth Kumar.
Gujarat Govt launches solar scheme, Suryashakti Kisan Yojna
The project is based on the pliot project which costs upto 870 crore. This will cover 12,400 cultivators and also launch in July 2. Under SKY (Suryashakti Kisan Yojna) , the grid connected solar panels will provide the 12,000 cultivators for the people who have electricity conections. After this step, all the villages will have 24x 7 electricity
Three day annual Sindhu Darshan Festival begins in Jammu and Kashmir
The sindhu darshan festival is celebrated on the bank of Indus river in Ladakh of J&K. The festival is based on national integration , national pride and communal harmony. The year is marked as 22nd festival. It was started by the former Lk Advani in 1997.
Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje conferred with Chief Minister of the Year award
Chirf Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara raje has been awarded in the 52nd Skoch Summit held in New Delhi. The chief guest of this function is Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh. The efforts of state govt has been called beneficial in the prime minister’s Digital India campaign.
Seychelles President Danny Faure signed MoUs on his first bilateral visit to India
On june 22, Seychelles President Danny Faure has visited India for a six day visit. Indian Government has contributed 100 milliion USD to seychelles for the defence sector. Both countries have signed six MoU.Details are not provided.
